Jazz Band
Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools (PCTVS) offers all students the opportunity to participate in the Jazz Band. Any student who plays an instrument is eligible to join. The Jazz Band is an extracurricular program at Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI), with all rehearsals held after school.
Season Overview
The Jazz Band season runs from November through May. Rehearsals are held Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
During November, rehearsals are open to all interested students. In December, auditions are held to determine official membership in the Jazz Band. Auditions will include scales, sight-reading, and prepared repertoire introduced during the open rehearsals.
The PCTI Jazz Band is highly active, performing both at school events and in the wider community. Below is a list of performances from the 2024–2025 school year:
