Passaic County Technical – Vocational Schools offers all students the opportunity to be involved with Marching Band. Any student that plays an instrument is eligible to join the Marching Band. Marching Band is an extracurricular activity at PCTI. All band rehearsals are held after school.
The Marching Band season takes place primarily during the months of September and October. To help prepare for the fall season, the Marching Band has a July mini-camp and an August band camp. All summer camp practices take place at school.
The PCTI Marching Band is active in the school and in the community. The Marching Band performs at all home and away football games, pep rallies, spirit days, local parades and Marching Band competitions. Below is a list of performances that took place last school year.

The PCTI Marching Band is an extra-curricular activity. All band rehearsals are held after school. Marching Band rehearsals are as follows:
July Band Camp: The July Band Camp is usually an 8 day camp held from 9am-2pm, Monday through Thursday for two weeks.
August Band Camp: The August Band Camp is usually a 10 day camp held from 8am-3pm, Monday through Friday for two weeks.
School Day Rehearsals: Mondays, and Wednesdays, during the months of September, and October, from 3pm-6pm.

Summer Marching Band Camp Information
To help prepare for the fall Marching Band season, two summer band camps are held at PCTI. There is a two week mini-camp held in July. There is also a two week band camp held in August. All band camp practices are held at school. For the most up to date band camp information, please check the calendar section of the website.
For students that live in Clifton, Passaic and Paterson, busses are provided to and from all rehearsals and performances. The bus pick-ups start one hour prior to the start of all rehearsals. The bus pick-ups occur at the following locations:
- Passaic – The bus pick-up location will be at Passaic City Hall.
- Clifton – The bus pick-up location will be at the corner of Main Ave & Piaget Ave (near the White Castle).
- Paterson – The bus pick-up location will be at Paterson City Hall.
For students that live in other towns in Passaic County, transportation is provided from all weekday rehearsals and performances.
For band camp students do not need to wear their PCTI school uniform. Most students wear shorts, t-shirt and sneakers for band camp.
Lunch will be provided for all summer band practices. However, students are more than welcome to bring their own lunch if they choose. Water will also be provided for all outdoor rehearsals. However, students are more than welcome to bring their own water jug.
Students will need to bring their instruments to each day of band camp. In addition to their instruments, students will also need the following:
- One inch three ring binder with plastic sheet protectors for their band music
- Water Jug
